She was predeceased by: her parents, Al Green and Otta Estelle Baker Green; her husbands, Garland Waites Sr. and Walter True "Bubba" Sharp; her daughter Rhonda; her son-in-law Jimmy Cook; her grandson Garland "Trey" Waites III; and her brothers, Dr. Robert Daniel Gilbert and Matthew Wilson Gilbert.
She is survived by: her son Garland Waites Jr. (Yvette); her grandchildren, Kevin Parker (Courtney), Roscoe "Luke" Cook (Mandy), Kasey E. Cook and Jessica Lynn Waites; her great grandchildren, Kaleigh Hebert (Jon), Ruby Parker, Olivia Greer Cook, Emma Grace Cook, Matthew Cook (Khloe), Megan Prine and Treylan Waites; her great great grandchildren, Marlee Hebert, Colston Hebert, Brynlea Hebert and Everleigh Cook; her brother James Alvie Gilbert (Evelyn); and her sister-in-law Anne Gilbert. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
