It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnnie Thornton of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, born in Shreveport, Louisiana, who passed away on December 21, 2020, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Catherine Mayfield and O'Wayne Thornton; his wife Cheryl Branch Thornton; his son Johnnie W. Thornton; and his siblings, Barbara Nell Hooker and William Mayfield.
He is survived by: his daughter Kim Thornton Coyne (John); his grandsons, Blake Thornton (Alexia Hooker) and Bret Coyne; and his sister Wanda Begin (Ray).
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020, 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Face masks are now mandatory to attend any visitation or service at the funeral home.
