It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jessie Elizabeth Turbeville Ballard of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, born in Denham Springs, Louisiana, who passed away on September 24, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her siblings, Mae Nunnery, Mable Annie Turbeville, Doris Davis, Eunice Hodges, L. B. Turbeville, Donald Turbeville, Ollie Turbeville, Robert "Bob" Turbeville and Baby Boy Turbeville; her daughter-in-law Vickie Ballard; her grandson Eric Henry Ballard; and her great grandchildren, Kyle McKinney and Karson McKinney.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Ann Vicknair (Robert), Robert Clifton Ballard (Kathy), Sidney Ray Ballard and Henry Earl Ballard (Kathie); and her sisters, Vivian Coody and Virginia Mason (George). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, September 28th 2024 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Brandon G Thompson Funeral Home (12012 US-190, Hammond, LA 70401). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to First Baptist Church of Ponchatoula for their Emerge Building Fund.
