Jesse Larry Tanner Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jesse Larry Tanner of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, born in Winnfield, Louisiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 1, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his son Joseph "Joey" Wayne Pinion; his parents, Carrie Tanner and Mike Tanner; his siblings, Houston Tanner, Gail Tanner, Glenda Turnage, Sandra Tanner and Pam Tanner; and his grandparents, George, Elizabeth Shirley, Frank and Mattie Tanner.

He is survived by: his wife Elaine Richardson Tanner; his children, Sherrie Ragan (Jody) and Larry Tanner, Jr. (Michelle); his grandchildren, Ashley Ragan Beauchamp (Aron), Jason Ragan (Stacey), Trevor Ragan (Amanda), Ethan Tanner, Nathan Tanner and Matthew Tanner; his great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Bailyn, Brynn, Kenley, Maddux, Jackson and Landon; and his brothers, Charles Tanner, Terry "Mackie" Tanner (Cindy), Howard "Bojack" Tanner (Marie) and Michael "Pete" Tanner. He is also survived by many nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ln Hughes Funeral Services (21400 S I - 12 Service Rd, Ponchatoula, LA 70454). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Ln Hughes Funeral Services (21400 S I - 12 Service Rd, Ponchatoula, LA 70454). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Carter Cemetery.
