He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Reid Decker and Amy Jones Decker; his wife Shirley May Cooper Decker; his great grandchild William Smith; and his siblings, Monette Nicholas and Roland Reine.

He is survived by: his daughters, Rochell Decker and Cynthia Morgan (Jerry Morgan Jr.); his grandchildren, Ashley Jackson (Jeremy), Douglas Hawkins (Ellie), Alyssa Browning (Robert), Caleb Coats (Jacquline), Kayleigh Coats, Stoney Morgan, Somer Smith (Calvin) and Jeremy Foster; and his great grandchildren, Stormi Jackson, Raini Jackson, Maddix Browning, Cashe Browning, Jessi Coats, Jayden Coats, Everleigh Haley, Riley Kulick, Alexis Smith and Hunter Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
