With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Gaylin Hoover of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, born in Metairie, Louisiana, who passed away on March 2, 2021 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Henry and Margaret McInnis Hoover; and his brother Robert Marshall Hoover (Lou). He is survived by: his wife Lynn Ethridge Hoover; his sons, Robert Hoover, James Hoover (Renée) and David Hoover (Sarah); his grandchildren, Ashlyn Bridges and Ainsley Hoover; his sister Rachel Koger; his nieces and nephews, Debbie, Patty, Michael, Scott and Angela; and his great-niece Samantha.

Face masks are now mandatory to attend any visitation or service at the funeral home.
