With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Henry Simon of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, born in Gueydan, Louisiana, who passed away on July 23, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dejean Simon and Marguerite Adam Simon; his children, Amber Jene Simon and Brian Nathaniel Simon; his former wife Arthurine Mary Bertrand; and his siblings, Wilson, Nelson, William, Ceasar "Sammy", Joe, Cleopha (Oran Simon), Eunice Vincent and Mary Elliot.
He is survived by: his wife Maryjane Bitter Simon; his children, Rhonda Louise Simon Blanchard and Chandler Gene Simon; and his stepchildren, Jeffrey Rooney, David Rooney, Timothy Barnes and Patricia Morse. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
