She was predeceased by: her parents, James Sullivan and Mildred Sullivan; her husband Albert "A. J." Newman Jr.; and her siblings, Lewis Sullivan, Geneva Venuto, Anna Mae Hart and Annie Laura Tompkins.
She is survived by: her daughter Cheri Vining (Wally); her great grandchildren, Natalie Strayer, Waylon Vining and Malorie Strayer; and her siblings, Billie Joyce Accardo and Jimmy Sullivan (Mickie). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
