He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Hoover Shelby; his daughters, Juanita Shelby Grantham (Daniel) and Cheryl Shelby Breckwoldt; his grandchildren, Chase Vincent Rourke (Sarah), Damian Grantham and Dylan Grantham; and his siblings, Lanelle Hancock (Ervin) and Jim Shelby. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
