She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Henery Ryan and John Ryan; her husbands, Jesse Lee Lewis and Carlton Stafford; her siblings, Hazel Wilde Lavigne, Lucille Berthalot Anderson, Emogene Kuhn, Virgil Ryan, Stanley Ryan and Edward Ryan; her son Michael Downey; her grandson Ralph Newman, Jr.; and her son-in-law Ralph Newman.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jackie Lewis Patterson (Jerry), Jessie Mae Lewis Newman and Carla Stafford Bourgeois (Hanson); her grandchildren, Jerry Patterson Jr., Angela Rodriguez, Janelle Bourgeois, Trey Bourgeois, Melody Stieb, Michelle Tureau and Carlton Downey; her sister Bernadette Meadows (Joe); and her siblings-in-law, Irene Ryan and Laney Kuhn. She is also survived by 12 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
