He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Irving, Sr. and Lizzie Tucker Irving; his siblings, Leon, Jr., Felix, Hollis, Ida Mae McDowell and Ola Goldsby; and his son Eugene Irving, Jr..

He is survived by: his sister Ruby Mae Donahue of Greensburg, LA.; his wife Sylvia Hingle Irving; and his close friend Leo Severan. He is also survived by cousins, grandchildren nieces, nephews and friends.
