She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Paul and Linda Guidry Cambre; her husband Milton J. Melancon; her granddaughter Mary Lynn Melancon; and her siblings, Thelma LeBlanc, Verlie Collier, Louise Peterson, Lloyd Cambre Sr., Eli Cambre and William "Bill" Cambre.
She is survived by: her children, Larry (Gerline Melancon), Ronnie (Denise Melancon), Wayne (Sharon Melancon), Linda M. (Chuck Arceneaux) and Brenda M. (Marvin Allen); and her grandchildren, Michael Melancon, Robert Melancon, Amy Chen, Christy Mix, Stephanie Trosclair, Wesley Melancon, Jennifer Cook, Melissa Melancon, Darrin Verneuil, Greg Verneuil and Faith Allen. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandson.
