It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edna Ott of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, who passed away on February 3, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the sacred silence of farewell, Edna is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. She was predeceased by: her parent Ovide Meyers; her former husband Donald Ray Smith; and her sister Lona Chapman. She is survived by: her husband Dale Ott; her daughter Mary Sciortino (Samuel); her grandchildren, Laken Sciortino and Samuel Sciortino II (Christina); her sister Joann Drott; and her nephew Eric Drury. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home (100 W Magnolia St, Ponchatoula, LA 70454). A memorial service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home and Crematory - Ponchatoula (100 W Magnolia St, Ponchatoula, LA 70454).
