It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Diane Fontenot Barnes (Ponchatoula, Louisiana), who passed away on December 15, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Sidney Barnes; her granddaughters, Addisyn and Brynlee; her parents, Joseph Fontenot and Verlie Eliser Fontenot; her in-laws, Birley Barnes and Irene Jones Barnes; and her brother-in-law Frank "Glen" Barnes.

She is survived by: her children, Cheri Barnes Basford (Rob) and Christopher "Brandon" Barnes (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Aubree and Brooks; her sister-in-law Marsha Barnes; and her close friend Susan Smith. She is also survived by cousins as well as her 4 kitty cats.
