With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Curtis Walter Kennedy Sr. of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, born in Springfield, Louisiana, who passed away on January 15, 2021 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his daughter Karen Kennedy; his parents, Walter Kennedy and Josephine Kennedy; his sister Juanita Kennedy Kinchen; and his grandparents, Ruth Richardson and John Shandor.

He is survived by: his wife Loretta Schum Kennedy; his sons, Curtis Kennedy, Jr. and Carlton Kennedy; his siblings, Betty Kennedy Rena, Ruth Kennedy and Joseph Kennedy; and his grandchildren, Curtis Kennedy, III, Jeremy DeMars, Dustin Kennedy, Casey Kennedy, Tamara Kennedy Billiot, James Lea and Jessica Lea Posey. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
