With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carter N. Purvis Jr. of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, born in Independence, Louisiana, who passed away on February 10, 2023 at the age of 68. He was predeceased by: his father Carter N Purvis Sr.; his son Eric Purvis; and his siblings, Ronald, Baron Baker, Michael and Sharon Purvis.

He is survived by: his mother Clarity Tuttle; his wife Racheal Purvis; his sons, Ray Kimble (Ann) and Jason Kimble (Summer); and his siblings, Donald Baker (Dawn), Steven (Lena) and Carol Chapman. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
