He was predeceased by: his daughter Diana Methvin Johnson; his parents, Marvin Methvin and Mary Elizabeth; his stepfather W. W. Peel; and his brother Stan Methvin.
He is survived by: his wife Julie Methvin of Covington; his stepchildren, John Griffith of Pineville and Leslie Griffith of Pineville; his sisters, Paula Carter of Pollock and Cindi York (Tommy) of Alexandria; his grandson Zachary Johnson of Pineville; and his caregiver Heather Carter of Pollock. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
