He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Elliott and Velma Elliott; his son Henry "Cricket" Joseph Elliott, III; and his siblings, Sydney Coody and Velma Pauline Dauzat.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Cain Elliott of Pollock; his children, Travis Simmons (Sharon) of Simmesport, Trevor Simmons (Jennifer) of Hector, N. Y. and Tina Elliott Gagnard (Mike) of Alexandria; and his brothers, Gary Elliott (Charlene) of Pineville and James Coody of Alexandria.
