Hazel Jannette, "Jan", Mary Neal, 55, died November 3, 2017, at her home in Pleasant Hill, Louisiana.

Jan was born on August 30 , 1962 in Shreveport, La to Louis and Dixie Mary. Jan as a child enjoyed spending many summers with cousins and friends, and would often reminisce on many stories of those days. She found the love of her life Bubba Neal at a young age, and spent all of her life in love and creating a home for themselves and their children. Jan and Bubba were married on May 14, 1981.

She was a devoted Christian and enjoyed going to church whenever she had the chance.

Her interests included family, cooking, spending time with her grandchildren and visiting with friends. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to her family, including her mother until she passed away at age 75.

Jan is survived by her husband, Needham "Bubba" Neal; sister, Carolyn M Elliott and husband Joel Elliott; Daughter Jessica Neal Crochet and husband Thomas Crochet , Sons Ryan E Neal , Grant L Neal and Kane M Neal. Grandchildren; Stephen , Jannaleigh Neal, Remi and Dylan Crochet, Steven and Nathan Shanks and a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Louis & Dixie Mary , Unborn Child, Niece Jenna James, Nephews T-bo Cobbs and Benjamin Anderson, Honorary son Jonathan Shanks.

A memorial service is held on November 6 , 2017 4-6 pm at Roseneath Funeral Home in Mansfield, La.
