He was predeceased by: his wife Judy Ott Hippler; his parents, Allen H. Hippler and Sybil (Wedgeworth); and his siblings, Danny Hippler and Etta Hippler Bly.
He is survived by: his children, Martin Hippler (Karen) of Belmont, LA, Bobby Hippler of Belmont, LA, Rebecca Hippler Samples (Harold) of Pleasant Hill, LA and Loretta Guevara (Hazael) of Pleasant Hill, LA; and his sister Barbara Beaumont of Tulsa, OK. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
