He was predeceased by: his parents, Barton Jeansonne, Sr. and Norma Moreau Jeansonne; his father-in-law Russell Rousseau, Sr.; his uncle Warren Moreau; his sister-in-law Janice Plauche Jeansonne; his daughter-in-law Karen Kay Jeansonne; his grandson Randy Kinsel; and his cousin Tommy Jeansonne.
He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Rousseau Jeansonne; his siblings, Barton Jeansonne, Jr. and Shirley Hymel; his children, Chad Jeansonne (Tina), Michele Jeansonne and Laura Garber (Michael); his grandchildren, Nicole Goden (Patrick), Sara Alexander (Travis), Ricky Kinsel (Heather), Ryan Harper (Brittany) and Phoebe Sison; his great grandchildren, Angel Jeansonne, Riley Alexander, Harper Alexander, Chase Kinsel, Candace Kinsel, Tate Kinsel, Kayden Harper and Kinsley Harper; and his brothers-in-law, Russell Rousseau, Jr. (Donna) and Cory Rousseau (Sherri). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 8:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home (3527 LA-107, Plaucheville, LA 71362). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church (3548 LA-107, Plaucheville, LA 71362). A wake was held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Hixson-Ducote Funeral Home of Plaucheville (3527 LA-107, Plaucheville, LA 71362).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Knight of Columbus Council No. 2142 or Mater Dolorosa Catholic Church.
