She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Cox II and Edna Miller; her stepfather Clarence Miller, Sr.; her grandparents, Anthony "Tony" and Daisy Myles; her sisters, Grace Williams, Edna Jones and Gertrude Williams; her stepbrother Clarence Miller, Jr.; her son-in-law Henry Watkins; her grandson Thomas Cox; and her great grandchildren, Ikea Williams and Onyx Gustave.
She is survived by: her daughters, Lillie Batiste (Leroy), Linda Batiste (Michael), Gloria Cox-Navene, Mary Johnson (Raymond), Deborah Watkins, Shealer Cox and Martha Skidmore (Quentin); her sisters, Louise Johnson, Sarah Williams, Elnora Harris, Genevia Slack and Ethel Harris; and her grandchildren, Javiss Brown, Desmond Kennedy, Jalisa Castle and Patrice Arcement. She is also survived by 36 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
