She was predeceased by: her parents, James "Henry" Medlen and Esther Landry Medlen; and her brother Earl Medlen. She is survived by: her children, Jamie Richard (Angie), Jeremy Richard and Sara Palazzo; and her siblings, James Medlen (Farrel), Bill Medlen (Judy) and Melba "Sweet" Diamond (Henry). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
