He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph "Peshu", Sr. Richard and Mabel Daigle Richard; his wife Aileen Langlois Richard; his siblings, Goldie Richard, Ruby Chartier and Shirley Barbier; and his daughter-in-law Louanne Ingram Richard.
He is survived by: his children, Barry Richard (Debra), Timmy "Lil Peshu" Richard (Kathy) and Carolyn Dedon; and his grandchildren, Barry Richard, Jr., Bonnie D'Antonio (John), Lacey Landry, Jody Joseph Richard, Megan Richard, Adam Boudreaux, Kristen Dedon, Scott Kleinpeter, Garrett, Patrick and Katherine Greene. He is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
