He was predeceased by: his son Jon, Jr.; his grandson Elliot Cheramie; his parents, Roy Howard and Marion Howard; and his brother Terry Howard.
He is survived by: his wife Teri Howard; his children, Tami Cheramie (Garrett) and Roy Howard (David); his granddaughters, Alexandra, Shelby and Jon-Marie Cheramie; and his siblings, Suzanne, Cissy and Rick. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
