He was predeceased by: his parents, Augusta "Gus" and Amanda Crochet Himel; and his brothers, Sterling Himel, Louis Himel, Alvin Himel and Clarence Himel.
He is survived by: his wife Juanita Goulas Himel; his daughter Jana Kristi Himel; and his siblings, Gloria "Sweet" Blanchard (Murphy) of Plaquemine and Lloyd Himel (Sharon) of Brusly. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
