It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Pate of Plaquemine, Louisiana, born in Rosedale, Louisiana, who passed away on March 26, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Murrel "Steven" Pate and Martha Amedee Waddell; his brothers, Charlie and James; and his stepgrandson Joshua Johnston.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Pate; his sons, Warren Pate (Khristy) and Rodney Pate; and his sister Merrelyn Pittman (Gene). He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
