With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Delores Babin Hernandez of Plaquemine, Louisiana, who passed away on January 4, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband George Hernandez; her sons, Ricky "White Bean" Hernandez and Mickey Hernandez; her parents, Joseph Babin and Annie Pollet Babin; and her siblings, Joann Babin Stuckey, Frankie Babin and Catherine Babin Badeaux.
She is survived by: her children, Glynn Hernandez (Carmen), Kimmy Hernandez, Howard Hernandez and Thomas "Tommy" Hernandez; her grandchildren, Heather Boudreaux, Casey Hernandez, Anthony Hernandez, Keith Hernandez, Brittany Hernandez, Ashlyn Hernandez, Jessica Hernandez, Jamie Gros, Blaze Hernandez, Allie Hernandez and Andrew Hernandez; her siblings, Joseph (Babin, Jr.) and Shirley Babin Messina; and her grandchildren, Lisa Richard, Alice Parker, Holly Freeman and Mason Guillot. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (57805 Main St, Plaquemine, LA 70764). A burial was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Grace Memorial Park (60455 Bayou Jacob Rd, Plaquemine, LA 70764).
