He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Albares and Amelie Acosta Albares; and his siblings, Buster Albares, Viola Haggard, Emily D'Albor, Eva Roche and Josie LeJeune.
He is survived by: his wife Georgeanna Courtade Albarez; his children, Al A. Albarez, Everette P. Albarez (Vonda Kay Kelly), Lisa E. Albarez Bruno (Steven W. Bruno) and David M. Albarez (Laurie Kvaternik Albarez); his brother Edwin "Black" Albares (Eloise); his grandsons, Luke Albarez, Joshua Albarez, Jacob Albarez, Josh Hunt and Blake Albarez; and his brother-in-law Herman Courtade Jr.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude.
