He was predeceased by: his parents, James M. Kirby, Jr. and Bernice Sharp Church; his stepfather Roland Church; his siblings, Flora May Barnett, James M. Kirby, III and William D. Kirby; and his parents-in-law, Klein G. and Annie Ray Wilbert.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Wilbert Kirby; his children, Kathryn, Sammy Maggio, Klein, Dana Kirby, Kristin and George Bucher; his grandchildren, Logan Maggio, Madeline, Ashton Kirby and Julia Bucher; his sister-in-law Marie Wilbert Doughty; his friend Rita Lynn Erwin Jackson; his sons-in-law, George J. Bucher, III and Sammy Maggio; his grandsons, Brennan Maggio and Benjamin Bucher; his nephews, Charlie Melsheimer and Andrew Melsheimer; his cousin Keith Nuttall; his friends, Jason Passantino, Dr. David Hastings and Dr. James Grace; and his godson Hoyt Myhand. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
