She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Russell and Ethal Mabel Morgan Haynes; her husband Calvin Carter; and her siblings, Vera Arnold, Clyde Haynes and Howard Haynes.
She is survived by: her children, Jerry Wayne Carter (Genie), Larry Lawrence Carter (Lafreda "Jo") and Beverly Carter Turner of Plain Dealing, LA; and her sisters, Rita Cox of Shreveport, LA and Joyce Hinson of Redding, CA. She is also survived by six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
