It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Jean Burgess Norton of Plain Dealing, Louisiana, who passed away on July 13, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Neil Otto Burgess and Lillian Faye Ridling Burgess; her husband Harlan Norton; and her brothers, Neil Otto Burgess, Jr., Pallbearers, Bubba Cook, Michael Schexnailder, Tommy Durrett, Tyler Murad, David Norton and Seth Norton.
She is survived by: her children, Stephen Norton (Frankie) of Shreveport, LA, Scott Norton of Argyle, TX, Stuart Norton (Lea Ann) of Bryant, AR and Karen Cook (Bubba) of Plain Dealing, LA; her grandchildren, Audrey Schexnailder (Michael) of Houston, TX, Kelsey Durrett (Tommy) of Haughton, LA, Hannah Petersen (Caleb) of Nashville, TN, Kaleigh Murad (Tyler) of Benton, LA, Kassidy Cook of Magnolia, AR, Marian Norton of Bryant, AR and Seth Norton of Bryant, AR; her great grandchildren, Neil Schexnailder of Houston, TX, Jax Durrett of Haughton, LA, Tripp Jackson of Magnolia, AR, Meredith Schexnailder of Houston, TX and Jentry Durrett of Haughton, LA.; and also Nita Sullivan.
