He was predeceased by: his mother Katie Ward; and his siblings, Leon, Ronald Ward, Floy and Wiens.
He is survived by: his wife Johnnie; his children, Renee Lee, Denise Quintanilla (Guillermo) and Kenny Ward (Kathy); his grandsons, Keith Lee (Erica) and Dustin Lee; his great grandchild Cooper Lee; his siblings, JoAnne Ward and Donnie Ward; and also, Steven, Mileah Evans, Johnny, Abby Evans, Justin and Courtney Rich. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
