He was predeceased by: his parents, Dolphus "Shorty" Barnett and Mary Evelyn DeMoss Barnett. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Swain Barnett; his daughter Sandra Barnett Gray (Tim); his grandson Kevin D. Gray; and his brother Ray Barnett (Caroline). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
