“I too, was a Medevac pilot during the Vietnam years. I am so grateful that Fred lived a very long life after serving our country. I enjoyed watching Chan 3 report tonight from Shreveport. They did a splendid job of honoring a true hero that flew UH-1 helicopters during Vietnam. I wish that I had known him, but I am 4 years older and did not meet him while I was in the Army.
