He was predeceased by: his wife Alice Smith Kopp; his son Rusty Kopp; his parents, John Kopp and Wilhelmina Kopp; and his siblings, Warner Kopp, Carl Kopp, Howard Kopp and Hazel Robb.
He is survived by: his children, Robbie Whalen (Julie) of Pollock, Brian Kopp Sr. (Pam) of Pollock, Melanie Kopp Hicks of Pollock, Darlene Lebold of Destin and Eileen Baker (Gary) of Tioga. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; and twenty-nine great grandchildren.
