Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Verdie Christine leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.

She was predeceased by : her husband Gilbert Johnson; her children, Gilbert Wayne Johnson, Randy Johnson and Linda Kile; her parents, Abram Stuckey and Helen Vaughn Stuckey; and her brother Reese Stuckey.

She is survived by : her children, Johnny Johnson (Jennifer) and Diane Walters (Larry); her sisters, Barbara Roberts and Artie Thomas; and her daughter-in-law Libby Johnson. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great, great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, June 28th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Pineville (2701 Military Hwy, Pineville, LA 71360). A funeral service was held on Friday, June 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
