He is survived by: his wife Beth Slocum; his children, Terri Lynn Slocum Deville (Shannon), Derek Paul Slocum (Jessica) and David Wayne Slocum (Tammy); his grandchildren, Amanda Deville Hansen (Samantha), Hannah Marie Hudson (Dillon), Joshua Ray Deville, Aaron Thomas Deville and Dustin Cole Slocum; his great grandchild Oliver Thomas Hansen; his brother Raymond "Baby" Slocum (Linda); his sisters-in-law, June Slocum, Alicia Hanavan (Pat) and Sheri Yeager; his nieces, Holly Yeager Billiot and Debbie Yeager Leddy; and his pet Pierre. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 4th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Pineville (2701 Military Hwy, Pineville, LA 71360). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
