She was predeceased by: her husband Gerald Wilkins; her grandmother Allie Mae Johnson Cory; her parents, Edward Pettway and Mildred Pettway; and her siblings, J. C. Pettway, Kearny Pettway and Wanda Lawson.

She is survived by: her children, Tedra Wilkins Cheatham (Bill), Douglas "Mickey" Wilkins and Gerald "Gene" Wilkins (Elizabeth); her nephew Martin Pettway (Lisa); her siblings, Nellie Ruth Pettway Meador, Charlene Elaine Pettway (Thomas Faulkner, Jr), Hershell Lee Pettway and Roy Glynn Pettway; her grandchildren, Jay Cheatham (Jenelle), Craig Cheatham (Halley), Kevin Cheatham, Heather Martin, Dustin Wilkins, Alexander Wilkins, Desiree Wilkins, Beau Wilkins, Ryan Wilkins, Ethan Wilkins, Sara Wilkins, Madison Kopp (Dylan), Clayton Pettway and Gracie Pettway; and her great grandchildren, Isabella McLaughlin, Charlotte Cheatham, Malaika Cheatham, Anabella Cheatham, Nathan Cheatham and Liliauna Cheatham. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members and friends.
