She was predeceased by: her husband Robert "Bob" Gills, Sr.; her parents, Joseph Melvin and Eva Barfield Williams; her sisters, Yvonne Ellington, Margie Ramsey and Claudell Price; and her great grandchild Zoey Grace Gills.
She is survived by: her children, Robert, Bo, Gills, Jr. (Julie), Diana Watts, Shirley Lynn Cooper (Mike) and Melba Stringer (Alex); her sister Peggy Powell; and her grandchildren, Donna Daniels, Robbie Watts (Dody), Janet Wiley, Zackary Gills (Heather), Jared Gills (Logan), Beth Landry (Taylor), Renee Domangue (Matthew) and Jacob Stringer (Kat). She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren with one on the way; 9 great-great-grandchildren.
