With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lionel Crooks of Pineville, Louisiana, born in Vick, Louisiana, who passed away on November 21, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Preston Crooks and "Biggy" Crooks of Florida; his daughter Dana Renee Simons; his brother Avanell Crooks; and his grandparents, Clay and Eula Brown.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Vangilder Crooks; his children, Carey Crooks (Brenda), Melanie Thomas (Steve) and Scott Glenn (Breanna); and his siblings, Dayton Crooks and Orean Jones (Johnny). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.
