She is survived by: her sons, Edward Ray Atwood of Alexandria and Garland Mark Atwood (Rhonda) of Alexandria; her daughter-in-law Carla Goble Atwood of Grand Junction, Colorado; her grandchildren, Robin Atwood (Jacqueline), Elliott Atwood, Paula Atwood Suarez (Juan), Jennifer Atwood (Tobias Wilhelm), Aaron Atwood (Jeannie) and Chad Ruiz (Jenny); and her great grandchildren, Elizabeth Atwood Jarboe (Zachary), Sara Atwood, Cody Ruiz, Emily Atwood, Kayla Ruiz, James Atwood and Roman Ruiz.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Pineville (2701 Military Hwy, Pineville, LA 71360). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In 2009, she received the prestigious ICES Wilbur Brand Memorial Award for her service and contributions to the international cake community.
