He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Gold and Agnes Dodge Belgard; and his siblings, Goldie Paul and Harvey Belgard. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Lucas Belgard; his sons, Marty Belgard, Jr. (Stacy) and Joey Belgard (Rosa); his siblings, Faye Nolan, Helen Kirk (Bob) and Emitte Belgard (Beverly); his grandchildren, Andy Belgard (Erin), Allyson Belgard Dupre' (Jake), Bob Franks and Ted Franks (Arlene); and his great grandchildren, Isaac, Silas Dupre', Dillon and Ellie Franks.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (901 Main St, Pineville, LA 71360). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

To honor his memory, donations may be made to First Baptist Church, Pineville.
