She was predeceased by: her husband Wallace M. Gunter; her son Russell Shackleford; her parents, Arthur Tyler and Ruth Tyler; and her siblings, Arthur Tyler, Jr., Frank Tyler, Geneva Walters and Myrtle Tyler.
She is survived by: her children, Preston Shackleford (Kim) of Schriever, Wallace Gunter (Linda) of Forest Hill, Evelyn Crochet (Jeffrey) of Clifton, Theresa Rachal (Jeffrey Andrea) of Alexandria and Charolette Harrell of Boyce. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
