He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbra Monroe and Hazel Lavert Monroe. He is survived by: his wife Glenda Williams Monroe; his sons, David Monroe (Janelle), Brian Monroe (Holly), Steve Monroe (Holly) and Jeff Monroe (Karen); his siblings, Cary Monroe (Maggie) and Mary Brignac (Ron); his grandchildren, Ashley Tam (Cory), David Monroe, Jr., Meredith Monroe, Madeline Monroe, Bryce Monroe, Maggie Monroe, Morgan Monroe, Wesley Kate Monroe, Jessica Dougan (Terry), Sean Monroe (Danielle) and Danny Holsapple; and his great grandchildren, Jackson Tam, Anistyn Tam and Brooklyn Dougan.
