She was predeceased by: her parents, Lovey Ratcliff and Maxine Ratcliff; her husband D. Z. Boyd; her grandson Michael D. Gates; and her siblings, Jimmie L. Ratcliff, Tom Ratcliff and Iris Smith.

She is survived by: her daughters, Wanda "Jo" Hyde (Bob) of Pineville and Karen "Kay" Chevallier of Pineville; and her grandchildren, Melissa Holland, Shannon F. Chevallier, Becky Chevallier and David Chevallier. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
