He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Smith and Alma Smith; and his former wife Dorothy Gray Smith. He is survived by: his wife Mara Smith of Pineville; his children, Robert Jay Smith (Mistie) of Pineville, Jeff Joe Smith of Pineville, Laurie Smith of Pineville, Robbyn Cooper (Chet) of Pineville and Jolee Trull (David) of Pineville; and his grandchildren, Reece Smith, Graham Trull, Rilee Smith, Jordan Smith, Ryann Smith, Erin Cooper and Lauren Cooper.
