He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph, Sr. Gautreaux and Ruby Gautreaux; his sister Yvonne Fontenot; his grandson Jacob Craig Fontenot; and his son-in-law Prosper Fontenot, III.
He is survived by: his wife Molly Gautreaux of Pine Prairie; his children, Barry Gautreaux, Sr. (Teresa) of Grand Bay, Norman Gautreaux (Valerie) of Pine Prairie, Gregory Gautreaux (Liz) of Pine Prairie, Chad Gautreaux of Pine Prairie, Joe Gautreaux (Brandy) of Pine Prairie, Kathy Longino (Harris) of Pine Prairie, Tina Fontenot of Oakdale and Bridget O'Connor of Pine Prairie; and his sister Delores Gautreaux of Oakdale. He is also survived by twenty-eight grandchildren; and forty great grandchildren.
