He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia "Pat" Lea; his son James Robert Lea; his parents, Rudolph Lea and Lily Lea; his stepmother Beatrice Lea; and his siblings, Rudolph Lea, Anne O'Brian and Dinah Defatta.
He is survived by: his sons, John Patrick Lea and Daniel Lea (Dani) of Alvin, Texas; his brother James Lea (Laura) of Austin, Texas; his grandchildren, Nicole Hamilton, Preston Lea and Oliver Lea; and his great grandchildren, Collin Hamilton and Cadence Hamilton.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Rush Funeral Home - Pine Prairie (1726 Railroad St, Pine Prairie, LA 70576). A memorial service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
