He was predeceased by: his wife Shauna Kay Caudill Cornes; his parents, Edgar Milton Cornes and Catherine Sanders Cornes; and his granddaughter Elizabeth Paige Cornes. He is survived by: his children, Erin Cornes Garrett (Ryan Hendl), Christopher Allen Cornes (Leslie) and Matthew David Cornes (Loree); his grandchildren, Kristen Cornes McCassey (Gabriel), Nicholas Cornes (Leigha), David Cornes, Elyzabeth Michelle Garrett, Kaylee Aleece Garrett, Garrett Thomas Cornes and Gavin David Cornes; and his sister Barbara Baker (Christopher). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
